Upcoming EventsArt Work: A National Conversation About Art, Labor and EconomicsIntermedia Porch Gallery Intermedia's Porch Gallery is proud to be one of a network of distribution centers for the newspaper ART WORK by the art collective Temporary Services. ART WORK is a newspaper and accompanying website that consists of writings and images from artists, activists, writers, critics, and others on the topic of working within depressed economies and how that impacts artistic process, compensation and artistic property. The newspaper is distributed for free at sites and from people throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Please stop by the Porch Gallery until January 29th to pick up a free copy of the newspaper, read the text, and share you opinions about issues of labor and art production. A public discussion of the issues addressed in the ART WORK project is planned for Friday, January 29, 6 PM at Public Space One in downtown Iowa City.
